Another day at work. There were terrible storms in Minneapolis, including some pretty awful tornado damage in north Minneapolis. I just wore my rainboots to work – sometimes utility trumps fashion!

Today was a work-free day for me and I spent the morning catching up on blogs and the afternoon running errands. In the evening Mr. Bug and I headed out in the rain for a date night at Ikea! I added some rain gear and took a picture under the harsh overhead light when we got home.

{roadtrip day 3: marathon day!}

Day 3 of the roadtrip was marathon day, followed by a drive to Galena, Illinois for some antiquing and Dubuque, Iowa where we spent the night and Mr. Bug played blackjack at the casino while I knitted in a little out of the way corner I found FAR away from the sound of the slot machines! The day dawned chilly and wet, so it was jeans and a longneck T shirt for me! Unfortunately, I didn’t get time to take a picture of me IN the clothes, so you’ll have to use your imaginations today! I did, however, get a lovely photo of Mr. Bug in his post-marathon victory wear (he placed 2nd!!) and Lucy the Hound in her grass hula skirt. She was the belle of the marathon.

{calling it in}

Ho hum! I barely felt like I got out of jammies today – just managed to put on some chintzy bling to take my jeans-and-a-t up to a just-passable for work outfit! Morning spent doing errands, blogging, chores and sewing. Worked in the afternoon.

tank – Old Navy

cardi – Nordstrom Rack

jeans – Lane Bryant, altered to for gaping waist

shoes – Palladium. Sigh. Company bought by stupid Vans, now only makes skateboard shoes.

jumble of bangles – Avenue

necklace – Target?

Happy Mayday! It’s been one full month of posting a daily outfit and I’ve decided to add another month. Since probation period is over, I’ve also decided to add a little paragraph to each post!

It’s Sunday today and I spent the day running errands, shopping for fun and hanging about the house, cooking, cleaning, computering and eventually I’ll get to sewing. Boots, jeans, a tank and a cardigan are my regular uniform. The scarf makes it a little less boring. The jeans are from Lane Bryant – I always have a huge gap at my waist with RTW jeans, so these have my standard alteration. Two darts on the back of the jeans, centered over the pockets, tapering to nothing by the bottom of the yoke.

tank – Old Navy

jeans – Lane Bryant, altered to fix gaping waist

sweater – Target, shortened to make more flattering, blogged here

boots – Avenue

scarf – Adrienne Vittadini from TJ Maxx
